Bless you!

I thought Alivia was sleeping as I type this, but I just heard her tell me "Bless you, Mommy" after I sneezed.  The kid cracks me up!

Anyways, I am a crappy blogger.  What has happened since February 1, 2009...well, a ton.  Too much to blog which is why I have avoided this.  So let's just start fresh.

Hi 2010!  Let's try this again....but maybe tomorrow.  HA!!!  No award for me tonight!

...in the eyes of a Yaya.

Every night before bed we read between 2 to 12 books.  I always find it humorous to hear the random comments that Alivia makes about the picture, story or character she is looking at. She has several favorites and one of them is about a mouse who goes to the movies.  About halfway through this book the mouse has just come in from throwing snowballs outside and he is lying on the back of a couch with just his boxers on.  Tonight Alivia pointed out the obvious..."Mommy, he is nakey!"  

In another book she decided that some of the characters in the book reminded her of her family.  When we came across the picture below she proceeded to tell me that the picture was of "Mommy!!"  I am not sure whether to be flattered or offended.  I mean the woman is slender, wearing a nice suit and has perfectly coiffed hair.  But let's not overlook the fact she is obviously a very angry woman that is about to hit something or someone with a broom.  Hmmm....??!!!??

We moved forward through the book about hedgehogs and turtles and came across another picture.  For this picture Alivia told me the man was "Daddy!"  What more can I say other than...Hmmm??!!??

3rd photoshoot for Baby Warren!

My great, great friend in Bismarck gave me another sneaky peaky at Baby Warren this past weekend.  It was fun (like always) and the baby was pretty open about his or her gender.  I was strong enough to look away!!  If you want to know what Baby Warren is, you will have to either wait until his or her birthday or call Tara  at (555) 555-5151.  

After seeing the baby in action and several very accurate online tests that entail questions about your body, face and pillow preference; I concur this baby is a girl.  Poor, poor Ben!!  

"Bagas" and "Yayas"

Here it is...my first blog entry for my first blog!!  As some may know, I had a "babysite" created for Alivia when she was little but I let it slide.  I decided since she is 2 now and no longer a "baby," it's time to start blogging!!!  

The hardest part about starting a blog was the dreaded title!!  What was I going to call this cyber street made for me?  Well, what you may or may not also know is that Alivia has a very big vocabulary!!  She can say words like "Elephant, Medicine, and Sampson" without a single problem.  However, her own name and that of her Grandparents seems to stump her.  She has actually given herself the nickname of "Yaya" and she has renamed every Grandparent she has (and some random people that just look like a Grandparent) "Baga."  So, I guess you could say we are definitely living in our own little Yaya land around here!!  

As for baby #2 that is due July 5th, we do not have a name or nickname picked out for her or him yet.  Of course, you can expect pictures and updates along the way!
